Do not take HardRx if you take nitrates (such as nitroglycerin) for chest pain. Combining PDE5 inhibitors like Sildenafil or Tadalafil with nitrates can cause a dangerous, potentially life-threatening drop in blood pressure. Always tell your physician about every medication you currently take, including as-needed or occasional medications.

Who should not take HardRx

The brand states HardRx is not recommended for men taking nitrates, those with severe heart disease or very low blood pressure, or anyone with a known allergy to Sildenafil or Tadalafil. Your prescribing physician reviews your health history to help determine whether it is appropriate for you.

Common, generally mild side effects

The brand describes commonly reported side effects as mild and temporary: headache, flushing, dizziness, nasal congestion, indigestion or back pain.

Emergency warning signs

Seek emergency medical attention immediately if you experience: chest pain, sudden vision changes, hearing loss, or an erection lasting more than 4 hours (priapism, a medical emergency that can cause permanent damage if untreated).
